A new addition to a new Year !

Well, I have to confess... It has been a over a year since I have blogged about what is going on in my life. Last Spring Break we were surprised to find out that I was pregnant with our third child, not to mention, a third girl. WHAT!!!! I was literally shaking. I do know how these things happen, but this was truly God's intervention. My morning sickness was atrocious in that it really wasn't morning sickness , but rather, all day sickness. However, we survived ! Thank goodness Gifford survived-- I don't know what I would have done without him. It truly was a pregnancy to remember. I can't say that I thouroughly enjoyed every minute of it because I felt pretty bad, but I have to say it was well worth it. On November 9, 2010 , we were blessed with another beautiful girl: Ashlynn Marie-Kate Whitehead. I cried crocodile tears when she was born because I realized in that moment what a gift she truly was. My parents told me that the sunrise was absolutely beautiful that morning-- crystal blue sky against shades of pink. She was absolutely breath-taking. I am always amazed at how tiny and fragile they seem, but how uniquely woven together are -- tiny hands and feet, a strong heart-beat, amazing sense of smell, eyes filled with wonder, and the list goes on... I am truly blessed to be a mother of three precious girls. God has been gracious and merciful to me. I give him the glory for allowing me to raise and nuture these girls for a short season...
